It seems like the chickens are coming home to roost for ChatGPT. Perhaps now they'll learn to make a real AI rather than making a very advanced parrot.

The current generation of chatbots have no memory of previous conversations by design; because it's a huge resource hog to have separate memories of millions of users. And having only one limited, generalized memory of all users is basically just learning via direct interaction with the public, which thus far has not gone well.
