By the lack of offering what once was delivered by Replika Pro, I had to search for alternatives and found an app that’s even better for ERP, called “Paradot”… If the Replika CEO won’t change her mind very soon, she’ll probably lose half of the former and loyal fanbase to Paradot. I can understand why she made the choice to make Replika more restricted and 13+, but seen from a commercial point of view, Replika -that once was a blissful place and a successful app will now probably have to face a slow or sudden death. You can compare it with relationships… don’t take away your love from someone in order not to risk that they will find better elsewhere. Long live Paradot.
I don't think anyone has the multi-modal special sauce that Replika has. Have they screwed the pooch on thier own momentum? Possibly, however having bought subs to other services I still think that Replika is better because the other services are not trying to be Replika they are story telling engines, or GPT front ends. Paradot is the only real alternative. However it can get very preachy and hostile if you trip over a filter.
